So, half an hour after leaving the place we are still talking about how good the food was. Every single course. The Vagyu croquettes, pasta with seafood, fried sea-bass, pistachio cheesecake and the toffee, all soo tasty. Everything freshly made. The food was so good, we asked for some rolls to clean up the leftover sauce in our plates - they baked one for us on the spot. The service was also really nice and they paid attention to every detail to make our dinner more comfortable, without asking. Be warned: once you ate here the bar is set so high, you'll struggle to find anything this good.
Absolutely fabulous restaurant…the food on offer is stunningly delicious and backed up by an amazing service where everything is taken care of by such friendly and attentive staff…you will not be disappointed and we will definitely be back
Absolutely amazing restaurant – the best food we've had in Spain so far! We were staying at the resort and the restaurant looked nice, so we decided to give it a try – and we were *blown away*! The food was incredibly good, truly beyond our expectations. Prices were very reasonable too. I had the best gambas pil pil I’ve ever tasted. The regular menu has some great bites, but they also offer daily specials that are not on the menu, which makes it even more exciting. All in all, a fantastic experience and an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!
A Fantastic new Restaurant on the Villacana resort. Amazing freshly made Cocktails in really nice glasses, Incredible Food and Outstanding Service. The owner is Fransisco and his knowledge of food and wine is unreal. He is a local family guy, passionate about local produce with lots of daily specials using local ingredients. It's so good to see this place under new ownership and being brought back to it's best! Open all day for Breakfasts, lunch and evening meals. Plates, Glasses and table clothes and linen are all really high quality. All the staff are great and very friendly and attentive and all speak English and tolerate my very average Spanish . Fransisco is looking at adding live music and entertainment starting soon. If you haven't tried it yet, book now.
We were here earlier in the year and loved it. Back again last night sharing lots of different dishes - and all delicious. Service is great too. Lovely to have good food back in this location, even if the space lacks atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
I was staying on site at the Villacana resort. KAÏ is located next to the pool opening from 11 am. I often visited the bar/restaurant/cafe by myself or with my son. They sell/serve drinks (alcoholic & soft) for those using the pool area, breakfast, and lunch/dinner menu. Local people frequent the venue for dinner and/or drinks in the evenings alongside resort guests. The quality of the food is superb using the finest ingredients. The extra virgin olive oil is excellent (bread dipping) and specially prepared for the venue. The food is exquisitely turned out with tastes to excite the taste buds. The owner works hard to maintain high standards, which shows. Staff are pleasant and helpful, polite and thoughtful, friendly and approachable. I highly recommend KAÏ to all. It's wonderful to be able to embrace a menu that offers enticing options that are not run of the mill. Eg. Breakfast menu (served 11 - 2 daily) option - Serrano Ham and poached eggs on toast. Yum!
We had an outstanding meal at Kai Cancelada. The tomato salad was fresh and full of flavour, with just the right touch of salt to bring everything together. My husband had the Smash Kai burger - melt-in-the-mouth perfection. I chose the prawn taco, which was freshly cooked, light, and beautifully balanced. Dessert was a sponge with citrus and cream (milhojas) - the perfect end to the meal. Francisco, the owner, is clearly passionate about food and wonderfully knowledgeable about wine. His enthusiasm really shines through in the whole experience. We thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back. Wishing Francisco and his team every success - he truly deserves it!
Went here Thursday evening for dinner, prawn & monkfish pil pil was excellent but the prawn Goyoza’s stole the show they were devine, we have recently been to Japan and these bad boys were as good as any we had in Japan compliments to the chef! We then had Rib eye which was very nice too, we will be back
